Magazine - Virgin Records USA Press Kit

Always on the lookout for Magazine items I was shocked to find this Virgin Records Press Kit up for sale recently. With only three days left to go in the auction and no bids I watched and waited and then decided not to wait nervously but use the buy now option managing to get it.

As I type it has not arrived in my possession yet so for now I only have the seller's photo's.

Once I get it I'll do some better scans and upload.

These two posters were tonight sold on ebay.  Each limited to 100 the first 'I am angry' sold for £93.00 No 47/100 - I just missed out after having bid £91.00 on it.

This one, 'I Know The Meaning' one went for £46.00 and was numbered 85/100.  I managed to win this one.

Australian Come Clean With Magazine 1980 Tour Poster

Been after this poster for years and finally got one from Australia today.

Magazine - Promo Photo Slide Negatives

I just picked up these rare early promo slide negatives of Magazine which came from London Features photo agency.

These are obviously from the same photo shoot and would have been used by the picture agency to promote them.  

On close inspection there are marks on one of the negatives it has a mark like a line across it and the back of the negative appears a bit mottled but the other one is fine. This is only noticeable if you hold at an angle and move it around in the light.  The cardboard surround measures x 7cm.

This is the kind of item I look out for as a collector of Magazine so if you have anything you think I might be interested in buying please let me know.

Buzzcocks - Screen On The Green, Anarchy Tour, 29 August 1976

My thanks to the brilliant Cindy Stern for kindly allowing me to share with you a photo that Cindy took of the Buzzcocks supporting the Sex Pistols at the Screen on the Green, London Anarchy Tour 29 August 1976.

To see photo's back then is extremely rare as often most in attendance didn't have a camera.  Fortunately Cindy did and captured some amazing, raw images of that period.
